MOTHER’S DAY @ KINGDOM HARVEST CHURCH

We know Mother’s Day can be a time that brings up a lot of different emotions for people.  For some, it’s a time of joy, celebrating their mothers and children.  For others, it brings sadness and pain.  

As we’ve planned this weekend, we’ve felt God was telling us to pay special attention to the people who are often left out and forgotten during this holiday.  We know that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18) and we feel His love and compassion for women who wish they were mothers, people who are mourning their moms, moms who have lost children, and those whose mother-child relationships have been less than ideal.

So, we want to use this Mother’s Day as an opportunity to serve the lonely, the left-out, and the forgotten.  We’ll be sharing a special message, and we’ll be donating $1 to Interact Women’s Shelter, for every person who fills out a connect card during our weekend service.  It’s our way of showing the love of Christ.  But, we need your help.

This Mother’s Day, can you invite someone to church who might be alone or hurting during that time?  It might be a neighbor whose kids can’t come home for the holiday, a friend who just lost their mom, or a co-worker who will be spending the day alone.  We promise to be sensitive and offer them the love of Jesus-the best love there is- as we celebrate Mother’s Day together.
